The Crucible Project

Podcast host James Damey interviews Peter and Dawn Aldrich about the impact of their individual Crucible Retreats on their relationship. They moved from unfair arguments resulting in hurt feelings over their thirty-nine years of marriage to being able to speak cleanly to each other. As each continue their own personal work in separate groups, they report discovering how their individual wounds are contributing to their individual perspectives so that they blame the other much less and own their own wounds. The impact of being able to recognize emotions during a conversation and own it has changed the outcomes of their repetitive arguments. They also share their experience of launching a Men’s Crucible Community and then a Women’s Crucible Community in Connecticut and what God’s doing through the community in Connecticut.
